Moving Meditation Workshops

Program Overview

The Gatehouse offers moving meditation workshops at The Gatehouse Community Healing Garden. Participants will engage in “Ba Duan Jin,” a gentle moving meditation that enhances self-care by promoting holistic health through the connection of mind and body. The movements promote holistic health by connecting the mind and body.

These workshops are designed to help you slow down, breathe, and learn powerful techniques that can:

  • Decrease anxiety
  • Increase your energy level
  • Create better health and longevity
  • Improve self-image and self-esteem
  • Boost self-confidence and a positive attitude
  • Enhance concentration, work, and study habits
  • Manage stress levels
  • Produce a sense of relaxation

 

As part of the meditation process, we also visit and conduct Labyrinth walks at The Gatehouse Labyrinth Nawayee. This peaceful and meditative space helps to center and ground one’s focus, enhancing the overall experience of the moving meditation workshops.

The goal of Meditation Workshop sessions is to achieve the following outcomes on our Theory of Transformation:

  • Develop Self-Awareness
  • Build Coping Strategies
  • Build Healthy Habits

Each workshop is delivered over the course of two evenings.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: The max number of participants per workshop is 10.

Where

The Meditation Workshop is only offered in-person at The Gatehouse. It is facilitated by two trained Gatehouse volunteers.

  • Group Options: The Meditation Workshop is offered as an all-genders group only.
  • Scheduling: Groups are available throughout the year.

The program fee is $60 per person per workshop.
